Pool Emergency Responder

This qualification is aimed at those responding to incidents within the Swimming Pool, where constant Poolside Supervision is not recommended as outlined in Managing Health and Safety in Swimming Pools (MSG 179).  The qualification is certificated through the Swimming Teachers Association

NPLQ 8th National Lifeguard

9th Edition National Pool Lifeguard Including Aqua Ferno Spinal Board Management with the option of an additional 1/2 day training including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Certification for First Aid at Work (FAW)

Annual Update for FAW and PER

Course aimed at those who already have both First Aid at Work and Pool Emergency Responder. Those who's Pool Emergency Responder is due for expiry can complete the assessment if they have attended an Update for FAW and PER 7 hour course the previous year.

3 day FAW course

The RQF qualification needs to last for a least 18 hours in duration.The qualification is certificated through Safety Training Awards.

1 day Pool Plant Course

This qualification is intended to provide front line staff who work in a swimming pool environment with the skills and knowledge to: Test the pool water Understand the factors that contribute to pool water quality Explain to bathers what can affect pool water quality Understand the importance of good hygiene and cleanliness in and around the swimming pool

Combined FAW and PER

This 4 day course, covers 2 separate qualifications.  Between 9 - 4 on days 1 - 3 is the First Aid at Work and between 4 - 6 on days 1 - 3 and all day on day 4 is the Pool Emergency Responder

Revalidation of Pool Plant

If you wish to have a new Pool Plant Certificate either Level 2 or Level 3, you will need to submit an assignment, which we will send you prior to the course. If you have previously done Level 3, you will need to also complete a Multi choice Question Paper. To upscale from a Level 2 to Level 3 Pool Plant, you will need to attend a full 3 day Level 3 course.
